The Almighty God rules the affairs of men, and He is the Architect of all creation.
Yet today, He is not in “sleeping mode.” He is still in control, regardless of our assumptions or perceptions.
Some individuals speak arrogantly and carry an air of supremacy over others because of the privileges, positions, wealth, influence, or achievements they have enjoyed.
But none of these things are ultimately of significance without recognising the mightiness of God, who rules over all.
The Scripture declares:
“…in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men…”
— Daniel 4:17
And after Nebuchadnezzar's humbling experience, he testified:
“…I lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honoured Him who lives forever…”
— Daniel 4:34
What a powerful reminder!
Human beings may rise to great heights. We may acquire wealth, attain positions of authority, build institutions, gain influence, and accomplish remarkable things.
But there is One who remains above all.
Our achievements do not make us sovereign.
Our positions do not make us supreme.
Our privileges do not place us beyond God's authority.
The Most High still rules in the kingdom of men.
Therefore, no matter the heights of our achievements, may we never lose the consciousness of who God is.
May success never make us forget our Creator.
May influence never make us arrogant.
May power never make us disregard the One who gave us the opportunity to rise.
Above every throne is His throne.
Above every authority is His authority.
Above every name is His name.
May we never lose the reality that God is the LORD OF ALL!
